Women's Day celebration 2026
As Serena Williams once said, "A woman who moves with confidence and strength
inspires others to do the same."
St Agnes PU College celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday, 7 March
2026 with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. The male staff members who
thoughtfully organised the occasion, raised a toast to the grace, courage, and resilience
of women and honoured the multifaceted roles they play in our lives.
The day began on a bright and reverential note with a prayer song and the effervescent
welcome by Joel made everyone feel special. Gifts, games, and entertainment galore
set the ball rolling for a wonderfully organised celebration that was truly enchanting.
The day recognises women and their invaluable contributions to families, workplaces,
and society. It is a time to appreciate the strength, care, and achievements of women in
everyday life, whether at home or outside it.
This day also reminds us that every individual deserves respect, equal opportunities,
and the freedom to pursue their dreams. Women’s Day is all about learning, supporting
one another, and encouraging positive change and mutual respect among the genders.
It is a gentle reminder to value women’s voices, celebrate their journeys, and work
together towards a fair and inclusive world.
The celebration concluded with Ms Fiona, lecturer in Chemistry proposing the vote of
thanks, followed by a fellowship meal.
