St Agnes P U College holds orientation for I PUC students
St Agnes PU College contributes to the social and intellectual growth of every student passing through its portals. The Orientation programme for the I year students was held at St Agnes PU College on 8th June 2023 in the college auditorium. The programme commenced with a prayer song invoking God’s blessings. The programme was conducted in 2 different sessions, first for the students followed by the parents. Students and parents were introduced to the vision and mission of the college and acquainted with rules and regulations of the college through a video.The toppers of I PU Annual Examination 2023 – Ms ZynahAnjum of PCMC, Ms Athira of BEBA and Ms Alisha Thimmaiah from HEPP shared their experience in the college and exhorted the students to seize every opportunity given by the college. Principal SrNorineDSouza briefed the students about the functioning of the college and its activities.Mrs Shobha, Lecturer in Biology compered the students’ session and welcomed the students. Ms Carol, Lecturer in Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks. Further orientation was given by the class mentors to the students in their respective classrooms. The students were guided to build a strong foundation for a glorious future.
Mrs Hariet, Lecturer in Commerce compered the parents’ session. Mrs Supriya, Lecturer in Physics welcomed the gathering and introduced the Resource Person Dr Caroline D’Souza, Neuro Psychiatrist who addressed the audience on the rights of handling their wards and making a positive impact on the young minds. Mrs Veena Dsouza, Mother of Ms Riona Dsouza of PCBH, Mr MelwinCrasta , Father of AbaigailCrasta of SEBA and Mrs Bindiya Pereira, Mother of Ms Riya Pereira of HEPP shared their experience about this prestigious institution. Principal thanked the parents for being an enthusiastic and patient audience. There was a short demonstration of the college app by Mrs Shubhavani, Lecturer in Computer Science. Mrs Joanne, Lecturer in English proposed the vote of thanks.
