Men's Day
St Agnes PU College Celebrates Men’s Day with Warmth and Appreciation
St Agnes PU College joyfully celebrated Men’s Day to honour and appreciate the contribution
of its male faculty members- the mentors whose steady presence quietly strengthens the
institution. The celebration began with a warm welcome extended by Ms. Blessy Sebastian,
Lecturer, Department of Mathematics, and Mrs. Prathista D’Silva, Lecturer, Department of
Biology, who also compered the event with an engaging blend of humour, grace and light-
hearted banter. Their lively hosting set the rhythm for the celebration.
The male staff were honoured in a special gesture as Sr Norine Dsouza, the Principal, Sr Janet
Sequeira, the Vice Principal , Sr Sannidhi and Sr Judith Frank pinned the ‘Gentlemen Tags’ on
them symbolising respect, affection and appreciation. Mr Francis Pereira, Mr Suresh Kini and
Mr Padmanabha were also honoured for their continued and generous service to the college.
Through thoughtfully chosen prayers of reflections, the department of Commerce invoked
God’s blessings on the men acknowledging their commitment, guidance and quiet strength. Ms.
Raksha, Lecturer, Department of Biology, shared the significance of Men’s Day - a reminder of
the value men bring to families, institutions and society and the importance of appreciating them
every day.
The programme then unfolded into a series of spirited activities. Fun games such as Bursting the
Balloon, Stacking Coins, Number Memory, Story Builder and Pass the Hoop filled the room
with laughter and lively participation. A melodious wishing song by the female staff infused the
evening with rhythm and charm, followed by a captivating still-dance sequence.
A heartfelt and delightful humorous video was played, capturing humorous moments and light
hearted content that had everyone laughing. Mr. Mathew Anthony, HOD, Department of
Commerce, shared a few reflective words expressing gratitude on behalf of the male faculty and
acknowledging the thoughtful efforts behind the celebration.
The evening echoed with a simple yet profound message - gratitude, respect and the joy of
shared community. The celebration not only honoured the men of the institution but also
strengthened the bond among staff, reminding everyone that the college flourishes through the
combined strength, kindness and authenticity of its people.
