Kannada Essay Writing Competition
St Agnes PU College hosted Barahachathurya – a Kannada Essay Writing
Competition on Tuesday July 24th.
The event provided a unique platform for participants to showcase their writing
skills and express their thoughts in Kannada as well as promoting and nurturing the
literary talent in the language.
The topics of the essays were based on contemporary social issues.
For II year PUC students the topic was -*ಬಾಹ್ಯಾಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು*
For I PUC’s the topic was- *ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಸಾಧಕ ಬಾಧಕಗಳು*
The competition garnered enthusiastic participation from both I and II PUC
The event served as a platform for aspiring writers to showcase their talent who
share a passion for the Kannada language.
The judging process was conducted with utmost fairness and impartiality by Mrs
Shailaja from the Department of Kannada and Mrs Jyothi from the Department of
Humanities.
The evaluation criteria was based on introduction to the topic, description and
concluding points. Neat, clear and errorless handwriting was also one of the
judging criteria’s.
