"CHEMTOON" Cartoon Making Competition

The Department of Chemistry organized the "CHEMTOON" Cartoon Making Competition, on August 23, 2024, focusing on the theme "Safety in Chemistry Laboratory." The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of safety practices in the laboratory through the creative medium of cartoons. Students from various classes enthusiastically participated, bringing their unique perspectives and artistic skills to the competition.

Participants were tasked with illustrating safety protocols, such as wearing protective gear, handling chemicals properly, and adhering to safety guidelines. The submissions were evaluated based on creativity, clarity of message, adherence to the theme and artistic skill and presentation. The event saw an impressive array of thought-provoking cartoons, each conveying vital safety messages in a fun and engaging manner. The competition successfully combined art and education, reinforcing the importance of safety in chemistry labs and encouraging students to be vigilant while conducting experiments.
