‘AGNATHON – 2K19’ – a One Day National Level Inter-Collegiate Competition was organized by St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru on Friday,16 August to provide students a platform to showcase their innate talents.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Pruthvi Ambaar, Cine Artist. He stressed that it is important to get constantly motivated to discover the super power in each one of us. He emphasized that when positive attitude is inculcated, students naturally become more optimistic in achieving their goals.
Rishita Picardo compered the inaugural programme. Ms Anisha Frank, from the Department of Chemistry welcomed the gathering and Shaina Rebello rendered the vote of thanks.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Mr Stephan Mascarenhas ‘Hemacharya’, Editor in Chief of Daijiworld Weekly English Magazine. He lauded the students for their commendable performances and congratulated the winners.
Mount Carmel Central School bagged the overall championship trophy and Govinda Dasa PU College won the runners-up trophy.
In this mega event, students from 18 Colleges participated in various competitions and exhibited their innovative talents.
Susan Mendonca welcomed the gathering and Samah Assia proposed the vote of thanks. Naomi Pereira compered the valedictory programme.
Dr Sr Maria Roopa A.C, the Joint Secretary of St Agnes Institutions, Sr Norine D’Souza A.C, Principal, Sr Janet Sequeira A C, Vice Principal, Mrs Namitha, Mrs Olivia Patrao and Mr Mathew Antony, the convenors of the programme and Mrs Soumya Hegde, the Joint Secretary of the PTA were present.
